About this math journal

Information Theory, Algorithmic Probability and Number Theory.

I take it to be true that pure thought can grasp the real, as the ancients had dreamed.-Einstein

God may not play dice with the universe, but something strange is going on with the prime numbers.-Erdős

The evolution of the world can be compared to a display of fireworks that has just ended: some few red wisps, ashes and smoke. Standing on a well-chilled cinder, we see the slow fading of the suns, and we try to recall the vanished brilliance of the origin of worlds.-Georges LeMaître

The scope of this journal grew out of constructive discussions with a number of mathematicians and scientists on the connection between Occam’s Razor and the Law of Conservation of Quantum Information. In particular: Marcus Hutter, Anders Södergren, Ioannis Kontoyiannis, Hector Zenil, Steve Brunton, and Max Tegmark.

The main objective of this journal is to demystify the relationship between Occam’s razor and the Law of Conservation of Information by considering its implications for the relation between mathematical structures in number theory and physics. Ultimately, the Universe is the origin of this riddle as it has the answer to questions which we are not yet able to ask. Thus, the ultimate goal of science is to discover Levin’s Universal distribution.
